Reverse engineering


Mario 10 can support reverse engineering when original drawings or CAD files have been lost or are no longer available, but a sample part exists. 

 

Custom product design


We design components so they can be manufactured using the most cost-effective process while preserving full functionality. We also analyse part and tooling costs for the required volumes to identify the best overall solution.

 

Tool design for your project


Our technical team, together with established partners, can design and produce tooling and equipment for a wide range of rubber components—from under 1 gram up to 20 kilograms

 

We can manufacture tooling ranging from single-cavity molds for prototypes or low-volume production to fully hardened, multi-cavity tools for high-volume manufacturing. Mario 10 develops a wide range of rubber compounds and has built an extensive catalogue of formulations that meet very different customer needs. With more than 30 years of experience in the rubber industry, we can help you select the compound that best fits your application. 

Injection molding capability


Mario 10 operates 2 horizontal and 5 vertical injection presses with capacities from 450 to 2000 cm³ and clamping forces from 140 to 300 tonnes.

Working from a sample, we can:

  • Identify the rubber used

  • Measure rubber hardness

  • Measure part dimensions using conventional and non-contact methods such as CMM and Shadowgraph

Feasibility review


We review your part to select the most suitable material grade for the application, choose a process that meets design requirements, and identify the most cost-effective manufacturing approach. 

 

 

When selecting a rubber polymer, key parameters may include:

 

  • Physical properties (hardness, tensile & compressive strength)

  • Electrical properties (resistance, conductivity)

  • Thermal properties (operating temperatures, flame retardancy)

  • Environmental resistance (acids, alkalis, oils)

Compression molding / pressing capability


We operate 15 hydraulic presses with heated platens from 150×200 mm up to 800×1200 mm, with clamping forces from 80 to 200 tonnes.

If a part is more complex or requires higher accuracy, we can 3D laser scan it to create a highly precise 3D model for mold/tool manufacturing. 

Process selection 


We consider the required performance of the end product and the volumes needed. Once we receive an enquiry, our expert team reviews it and selects the best production option. 

 

We manufacture tools for:

  • Compression molding

  • Transfer molding

  • Injection molding (thermoset rubber and TPE)

We use CAD/CAM for product and tooling design and CNC programming. Our machining centres enable the manufacture of high-quality, complex tools, and our technical department supports material selection and service-requirement optimisation. Our technical department is ready to support you in selecting the right material.
